Aaron Farinacci, the man charged with setting one of the most destructive fires in the history of Washington state, appeared in court on Thursday for his arraignment. According to court documents, detectives say Farinacci confessed to using a weather app to wait for a dry and windy day before starting the fire. Farinacci also claims he ignited 25 other fires near his home between July and August of 2025. NBC’s Morgan Chesky reports for TODAY.
